One of our speakers, Sherry Haase, shares her recipe for a great breakfast item to make on Saturday morning!

Blueberry Vanilla Scones


2 ¼ cups of All-purpose Flour

¼ cup of Granulated Sugar

1 tbsp Baking Powder

½ tsp Salt

¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) Unsalted Butter

1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

½ cup Heavy Cream

2 Large Eggs

 ¾ cup Blueberries 

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  Cut in cold chunks of butter until crumbly.  In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup, stir together cream and eggs.  Pour the liquid into the dry butter mixture and stir until combined.  Fold in the blueberries and transfer the dough to a floured work surface.  Form the dough into a log shape.  Cut the dough in 8 equal pieces then cut each of them in half.  Transfer the pieces to a greased baking sheet and cook for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 16 scones.
